The story follows a naive young bride whose expectations of a happy married life are quickly destroyed. After her wedding, she discovers that her husband is not the kind man he appeared to be. Instead, he and his siblings subject her to relentless physical and emotional torment. Isolated and unable to find help, she eventually snaps, taking justice into her own hands by committing a "Jaghanya" (heinous) crime to avenge her suffering.
