The story follows Pavan Kumar Chaturvedi (Salman Khan), a devout Hindu Brahmin and a devotee of Lord Hanuman. He embarks on a life-changing journey when he encounters a mute six-year-old Pakistani girl, Shahida (played by Harshaali Malhotra), who has been separated from her family while traveling in India.
