The latest version of APK Editor Pro brings several improvements, including:

APK Editor Pro V2.3.7 became a symbol of digital autonomy. It reminded the modding community that as long as you have the right tool and the courage to look under the hood, you never truly have to settle for the default settings of the world.

Choose between "Select an APK File" (from storage) or "Select APK from App" (currently installed). Choose Edit Mode: Select Simple or Full Edit based on your goal. Apply Modifications: Navigate the file tree or resource list to make changes.

Delete those lines, recompile, and the app will no longer request that permission.
