Sopheap leaned closer. His mouse moved on its own, dragging the icon to his desktop folder labeled "Client Work." As it landed, his file manager split open. The folders inside began to rename themselves: Logo_V1 became រូបសញ្ញា_បុរាណ (Ancient Emblem); Budget.xls became តម្លៃ_ព្រលឹង (Price of Soul).
From that night on, Sopheap never used a free font again. But every time he opened Adobe Illustrator, a single, untitled font appeared in his list: "ABC Khmer (2021)." And if he ever accidentally hovered over it, his keyboard would type one word on its own, over and over:
