Evenicle 2 uses anti-cheat countermeasures in its code (not DRM, but sanity checks). If you set your level to 99 at the start of the game, the game may crash because your character doesn't have the skills unlocked for that level. Similarly, changing item IDs incorrectly can cause save files to become unreadable. (located in Documents/AliceSoft/Evenicle2/Save ).
