As a Major in the Army, Surya rescues a girl named Priya (Divya Spandana) from a kidnapping incident. Priya eventually falls in love with him. Surya, however, is still haunted by his past heartbreak and refuses to let anyone in. Over time, and through his father's influence, he realizes that love isn't about possession or obsession, eventually accepting Priya's love.

This is one of the few Indian films that realistically portrays the trauma of one-sided love. Instead of the usual trope where the hero "wins" the girl, the story shows that rejection is a part of life .
