Issue 03 features a controversial centerfold: a still from a "lost" Movie 12 where the Christmas tree has been stripped bare. Ornaments are used as a primitive counting system on the wall. The essay “The Santa Clause is a Lie” suggests that Movies 12-13 represent the rejection of the holiday narrative. The child protagonist (now ageless, spectral) realizes there is no return flight.
