The biggest hurdle on the Honor X9a is the NVRAM lock. Honor devices are programmed to detect if the NVRAM (Non-Volatile Random Access Memory) has been tampered with. If a technician uses an unauthorized tool, the phone may reject the IMEI or display a "Tampered" warning.
The DFT Pro Tool is currently the most affordable box that supports the IMEI repair (alongside Octoplus and Sigma). Do not try cheap UFI or Medusa boxes – they will not bypass the new DigiGo security.
