Mobile video editing apps are widely used for content creation. KineMaster (developed by NexStreaming/More than a Thousand) is a popular multi-track editor for Android and iOS. This paper examines the v4.6.4 APK release (hereafter “v4.6.4”) as an example to discuss functionality, usability and potential risks of installing APKs distributed outside official stores.
